Trail running is running in nature. This sport doesn’t just train your legs, it keeps your upper body fit as well. It also requires concentration and attention when tackling altitude differences - whether uphill or downhill. The Jungfrau Region is a trail runner’s paradise; it’s also where the famous Eiger Ultra Trail takes place.

  Even though this route is advertised as a bike route, it is also super suitable for trail running. First along the asphalt road to Stechelberg and then onto the trails. Great views guaranteed.

  Bonera-Eiger Trail Nr. 32

  From Grindelwald the trail winds its way up to the Eiger glacier and on to Männlichen. Back to the valley on the trail or by cable car.

  Eiger Ultra Trail E35

  The trail leads along the notoriously steep Gemsenweg towards Männlichen. It then leads to Kleine Scheidegg and on to the Eiger North Face before the descent to Grindelwald.
